Wreaths Across America

The Scottish Rite Masons of Denver are organizing on behalf of all Colorado Masons to place wreaths at the grave markers at Fort Logan National Cemetery.  Masons have a special connection to Fort Logan. Our Colorado Senator Henry Moore Teller was the first Sovereign Grand Inspector General of the Scottish Rite Masons of Colorado. Sen. Teller introduced a bill in Congress authorizing construction of Fort Logan, and it was signed in February 1887. A little over three acres was set aside in 1889 for a post cemetery. https://www.cem.va.gov/cems/nchp/ftlogan.asp. This is a great event to bring your kids, spouse, or friends to. All are welcome to help us honor our fallen veterans and give thanks to our great Nation. You can follow the link above to register as a volunteer or make a donation to buy a wreath.
